Bourne End is another riverside village on the Thames that also enjoys being within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB).  Many properties in the village boast river frontage making it very popular with boating enthusiasts.  Dating back to 1236 when it was originally known as ‘Burnend’ which means end of the stream, aptly named due to it being the point where the Rye flows into the Thames.

Bourne End is close to the A404 which gives it perfect access to both the M4 and M40 which in turn link to the M25 and make Heathrow very accessible.  With its own train station, it has good links to London.

School options are excellent in Bourne End with Claytons and Westfield as primary options and Bourne End Academy for secondary.  There are also a number of Grammar and Independent schools in nearby Marlow, Maidenhead and High Wycombe.
