There is an abundance of facilities with independent stores, supermarkets, hairdressers, florist, doctors, and dentist surgeries as well as a host of great eateries.
With nearby Gerrards Cross train station giving quick access to London Marylebone (under 20 minutes), and excellent road links to the M25, M40, M4 and M1 including Heathrow in 25 minutes Chalfont St Giles is the perfect commuter village.
Chalfont St Giles has its own primary school in the village and for secondary it is in prime catchment for Dr Challoner’s Grammar schools for boys and Dr Challoner’s High School for girls as well as Chesham Grammar. If you are looking at Private options then St Mary’s, Gayhurst, Maltman’s Green and Thorpe House are all local to the area.
There is an abundance of sporting and leisure facilities in the area with Bowstridge Lane’s playing fields, Chalfont Leisure Centre, several golf courses, bowls, football, cricket, tennis and squash clubs. If you like walking and cycling then the Ridgeway and Misbourne Valley are perfect, and for sightseeing Captain Cook’s Monument and Milton’s Cottage – now a museum. Chalfont St Giles has a fantastic range of eateries including The Milton’s Head, The Ivy House and Milton’s Tandoori Restaurant.
There are some lovely independent stores in the village as well as a good selection of supermarkets close by. Both Gerrards Cross and Amerhsam are within short driving distance where more of the national chains are available including a Waitrose supermarket.
