Gerrards Cross is a regular favourite in national surveys for the most popular place to live and with good reason, it is an excellent commuter town for London whilst being firmly in the countryside. Gerrards Cross is easily accessible from London, on the Chiltern Railways Line, in under 22 minutes and for those needing to access the motorway the M40 and M25 are within three miles with Heathrow a mere 14 miles down the road.

There is an abundance of school options from primary to secondary.  The state options are popular with Chalfonts Community College nearby, but Gerrards Cross is most well-known for its independent school options with Maltmans, St Mary’s and Thorpe House to name but a few.

Eating Out

There is an abundance of dining options in Gerrards Cross all cent red around the high street.  From Jungs and Fego for brunch through to Mallick’s and the Royal Oak for evening cuisine.

Home to the amazing Everyman Cinema which makes a real treat of a night out and plenty of bars and pubs. The Memorial Centre provides a great hub for many social activities, societies, adult education and youth club as well as events such as the pantomime and book fairs.  There is also a fabulous Golf Club, gym and many larger outdoor groups.


For those looking for retail therapy, Gerrards Cross has a great selection of boutique independent retailers making it very popular as a place to shop and have a coffee.  And the options on supermarkets are fantastic with a large Tesco, Waitrose and M&S Food hall as well as an abundance of bespoke food outlets.
